About iPhone
The iPhone is a line of Internet and multimedia- enabled smart phones designed and marketed by Apple. The iPhone development starts in 2005 by Apple. In short span of 2 years the Apple engineers put the iPhones on sale on June, 2007.
An iPhone can function as a video camera , a camera phone ,can send text and receive visual voice mail, a portable media player, and an internet client with email and web browsing capabilities, and both WI-FI and 3G connectivity.
There are 4 generations of iPhone models as follows:-
1. iPhone ( original )
2. iPhone 3G
3. iPhone 3GS
4. iPhone 4.
The original iPhone was a GSM phone that established design precedents like screen size and button replacement that have persisted through all models .The iPhone 3G added 3G cellular net work capabilities and A-GPS location .The iPhone 3GS added a compass , faster processor ,and higher resolution camera , including video recording at 480 p .The iPhone 4 has a rear facing camera ( 720 p video ) and a front facing camera ( at a lower resolution ) for face time video calling and for use in other apps like Skype.
The iPhone 3GS is available in 8GB, 16GB, & 32GB variants. All data is stored on the internal flash drive. The iPhone does not support expanded storage through a memory card or the SIM card.
GSM models of the iPhones use a SIM card to identify themselves to the GSM network .The SIM sits in a tray which can be ejected with a paper clip. In most countries the iPhone is usually sold with a SIM lock . This prevents the iPhone being used on a different mobile network . The GSM iPhone 4 features a Micro SIM card . The CDMA models of the iPhone does not use a SIM.
The continued models of iPhone 3GS has a 3.2 megapixel camera featuring Auto focus , auto white balance , and auto macro ( up to 10 cm ).
The iPhone 4 introduced a 5.0 megapixel camera ( 2592 x 1936 pixels ) capable of capturing pictures in low light conditions . The iPhone 4 is the first iPhone that has the high dynamic range photography feature . In addition the iPhone 4 has a second camera on the front capable of VGA photo and SD video recording.
