Android is developed by open handset alliance in 2003, but now Google is leading android & Google purchased in 2005 from android.inc. The open handset alliance, a consortium of hardware’s, software’s & Telecommunication’s companies devoted to advance open standard’s for mobile device’s. Android works on java languages. Android houses apps approx up to 3, 00,000 & maximum apps can have store 5, 00,000 over the life. Apps can be downloaded from third party sites. Android has become the best selling Smartphone platform worldwide. Over 200 million’s android device’s use by October 2011. Android is based on Linux kernel. Kernel is a mediator between user and operating system. Google released most of the android code under the apache license; it’s a free software license. Android has a larger developer community to make apps for functionality for the devices. There are many companies like Google, Htc, LG, Intel, Motorola (who’s purchased by Google), Samsung electronics’ & etc.
